Affiliates Talk About Quality Too
If you thought discussions of quality where exclusive to lead providers let me help you tune into the affiliate market.
Jason Calacanis, who has probably cornered the title of #1 Internet shit stirrer over the last couple of weeks (love him or hate him he is a great meme/conversation starter), kicked off the discussion with his recent presentation at the Affiliate Summit (mp3) and got a ton of feed back from some top affiliates:
- Zac Johnson
- UberAffiliate (BTW, he has a great Affiliate Marketing Guide)
- ReveNews
- Shawn Collins
- Ian Fernando
- John Chow
And of course, Jason is tracking his own meme here, here, and here.

Sorry. I am a retard. I have referenced you before.
My VERY humble apologizes. I love your blog!

Thanks for the mention. Nice write up!

My pleasure. I think it is time to start highlighting the affiliate market more. It is a bigger part of the monetization of the Web than most people understand. What is a Lead Marketwatch without some spotlight on those who generate a significant portion of the Internet leads.
I look forward to mentioning you all more.

thanks for the mention! yes jason is a good buzz starter - god speaker but better at creating the controversy that he wants

Yes, he is a masterful buzz saw. He says he has never had a PR person/firm. I can see why–he has mastered the art.
Jason Calacanis is hands down my new favorite Internet personality. Not because I believe all of his bullshit (actually, I am not sure he does either–I think that is the secret, BTW), but because he is masterful at stirring up useful conversations.
Although, they seem to hate each other I think Dave Winer and he fit a similar mold/role for online innovation.
