LeadPoint, as one of the first lead exchanges or marketplaces, has gained an undeniable foundation in the lead generation market has certainly secured its place in the lead market. Announcing more than 4 million lead trades since its inception in 2004 it continues to demonstrate dramatic growth on both the lead buyer and lead seller side of the exchange.
Marc Diana, CEO of LeadPoint explains why the lead exchange is showing amazing growth:
“We flourished in 2007 because the lead exchange model allows buyers to target high potential consumers that match the types of loans and other products they offer,” said LeadPoint Chief Executive Officer Marc Diana. “When buyers can specify the exact price and criteria of a lead before purchasing it, they diversify their risk and are better able to weather downturns in the market.”
Lead marketplaces offer excellent opportunities for both lead buyers and lead sellers to prudently enter the market or optimize new lead strategies.
Lead buyers have the unique ability to try a multitude of lead sources and bid points without the challenges of engaging and re-engaging multiple direct providers. Meanwhile, lead sellers have the opportunity to focus on their primary business–acquiring high quality consumer inquiries.
As the model continues to emerge and evolve it will be interesting to see how some of the negatives of the lead marketplace are removed. Issues such as transparency for lead buyers to more clearly understand what they are bidding on and lead sellers to truly earn a premium (or receive incentives) on better quality.
One thing is for certain the model is certainly one with legs and should be considered in any lead buying strategy. If you are a part of our international readership don’t discount your opportunities to us this type of marketplace in worldwide venues. LeadPointUK is LeadPoint’s division in the United Kingdom and is serving up opportunities for UK mortgage lead buyers and sellers to exchange UK mortgage leads. Interestingly enough, the concept of a lead marketplace seems to be even more accepted with stronger competition from other UK mortgage lead exchanges and like LeadBay.
