I just returned from REtechSouth, which triggered a firestorm of great new ideas. This single day event, full of some of the smartest Realtors in the business, was packed with innovative thinking.
This crowd of real estate professionals were definitely high on social media. Of course, the big discussion was does it really bring business? Those on the stage would tell you, “Yes!” However, most in the crowd were taking volumes of notes, looking for hope in a tough market.
Don’t Lose the Value in the Gadgetry
As with any emerging technology there is a lot of focus on the tools and gadgetry–obscuring the execution of smart thinking. Getting on Twitter orFacebook and building an army of followers is not what makes these smart guys and gals successful. It is how they create the audience and what they do with that influence that brings results.
There are lots of ideas on how to generate leads with social media, but for this post lets jump right to a money making idea you may already be sitting on…
Leads You Buy Could Be in Your Social Network
Could the mortgage, debt, education, or other leads you bought from your lead provider already be in your social network?
Depending on the size of your audience and the social networks you participate in, the chances are pretty good for a few hits. After all, social networking is more popular than email.
How often do you get a complete customer profile and a built in referral on an Internet lead?
These social networks make it easy to cross-reference your address book(s) or email lists with your followers or fans. So, the next time you get that lead flow from your lead provider–do a little checking in your own social network, then make the call.
